Crouch End News is an independent news and information site for the London Borough of Haringey. We work from public records, we link to them, and we are not connected to the council or to anyone we report on.
West and east
Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate and Stroud Green sit on the high ground in the west of the borough. Hornsey and Harringay are below them, Wood Green and Bounds Green to the north east, and Tottenham, Bruce Grove and Seven Sisters run down towards the Lea in the east. Those few miles cover a very wide range of wealth and housing, and the same council answers for all of it. We cover the whole borough and we do not pretend the west is representative of it.
What we cover
Haringey Council’s planning register and committee papers, licensing notices, police.uk crime data, HM Land Registry sold prices, Food Standards Agency hygiene ratings, Environment Agency flood warnings for the Moselle and Pymmes Brook, and company filings in The Gazette. We also keep reference pages on bins, parking zones and council tax bands, checked against the council’s own published information.

Named source on every fact, linked so you can read the original. Where a record is unclear we say it is unclear rather than filling the gap. Plain British English. No press releases dressed up as news, and no photographs lifted from other outlets.
