A gym with a sauna and a one-degree ice bath opens at 4 Crouch End Hill in December. Full membership is £175 a month, with 60 cheaper opening places.

A new gym with its own sauna and ice bath is due to open on Crouch End Hill in December. Nord N8 is at 4 Crouch End Hill, N8 8AA, a few minutes’ walk up the hill from the Broadway.

The gym’s contact page says it opens “in December 2026” and will run every day from 7am to 10pm. It has not yet given an opening day. Membership has been on sale since 1 October.

Nord describes itself as “Nordic-inspired”. It pairs a small training floor and one-to-one personal training with what it calls a contrast zone: a sauna, an ice bath and an “experience shower” used in turn (Nord N8).

What is inside

The gym’s own description of the floor lists:

  • two half racks on wooden lifting platforms, with dumbbells up to 40kg
  • a curved treadmill, a rowing machine, a BikeErg, a leg press and a lat pull-down
  • a sauna built for the room by Dale Sauna
  • an ice bath chilled to one degree, from CET CryoSpas
  • four private shower and changing pods, with towels provided

The sauna, ice bath and shower are included in every membership and every drop-in visit, the gym says. Its spa page advises anyone who is pregnant, has a heart condition or high blood pressure to speak to their GP before using them.

Each opening offer has 30 places. Both close on 1 February 2027, or sooner if the places go. Off-peak hours are 9am to noon, 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 10pm.

What it means for you

  • Nothing is open yet. The gym says personal training sessions will be booked through its app “from opening day”.
  • The cheapest way in is an opening offer, and there are 60 places across the two. After that, the full monthly price is £175.
  • You can look around once the doors open. The gym’s contact page offers viewings then, and an email list for opening news. Its address for questions is team@nordgyms.co.uk.
